(July 5, 2024- July 10, 2024)
My sweet boy Landon, was born July 5, 2024. My labor was fast, and they needed to do an emergency c section. Sometime during labor, the oxygen to his brain was not the best, and he required full resuscitation in the infant area of the operating room. The NICU team quickly arrived and he was intubated, had chest compressions and had umbilical lines inserted before they whisked him away to their unit. He fought so hard to stay. He had chest tubes, brain monitoring and was ventilated. Sadly, he was with us for only 4.5 days. His mama and papa stayed with him in the NICU, and on July 10th , in the early morning his little body was just done fighting. He was tired... and my brave, strong man passed in my arms. He is so loved by so many, and in his brief moment with us has taught me so much about myself. I will never be the same. Landon made me a mother, and made Andrew a father.... and he made us a family.
